It is safe to guess that you cannot scale the high rise establishment to get in through that open window if you are locked out of your apartment. Usually, apartment establishments are required to hold a master key to all units. Thus, you should feel free to give your building manager or concierge a ring and ask them to let you in.  

Contact the Landlord 

The landlord should have his/her own set of keys to the house if you are renting your home. They likely won’t have any issue dropping by your place to let you in as well if they live close enough.  

Use Your Credit Card 

There is a chance that you can open your locked door using your credit card. All you’ve got to do is to swipe your credit card through the crack while jiggling the doorknob simultaneously. There are a lot of guides on the internet out there. 

Look for Open Windows 

You may be able to wedge the window wide enough to enter if you left a ground floor window opened before you left the house.

A lot of house security providers provide electronic door locks that do not require a key. All you need is a smartphone and download an application. A lot of these locks will also work well with other security system.  

It isn’t fun to get locked out. However, if you do these things, you can easily prevent it from happening again.
